I'm pretty new to openvz. I've set up a VPS running my slimserver and all went well. I'm now trying to build a virtual print server using cups

on the HN lsusb shows my printer.

I've used

sudo vzctl set 141 --devnodes usb/lp0:rw

to add the node to the VPS

the VPS shows /dev/usb/lp0

but lsusb contains no entries on the VPS

I've even experimented with bind mounting the HN /proc and /dev directories with no luck

Any help with this would be appreciated

Edited to add that I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 server

Mark

Okay I've got it. It was a permission problem the dev entries were read only.

lsusb still doesn't work but cups seems to pick up my printers
