Hi guys,

I am trying to give support for one of my clients where his vps is not rebooting because of the quota issue. Reason being an individual corrupted file.

Error is as below,

vzquota : (error) quota check : lstat `photos.friendster.comphotos6968532886961_494183449s.jpg': No such file or directory

However inside the vps, that file info is gone. Here is the o/p of ls -l

?--------- ? ? ? ? ? photos.friendster.comphotos6968532886961_494183449s.jpg

It dont have inode information or any other stuff. How will I delete this file. unlink is not working either. rm -f or rm -rf the directory as a whole is also not working.

Any clue is appreciated.

Try deleting it as root from the HN, or maybe fsck will fix it.

Please read the manual before asking questions:

I did try to delete from node. What ever I did try was from node only and not from host.

fsck the entire node eh ? But wont that require me to unmount the vz partition ?

On another note, not sure whether I must open a another thread, can we use ping -I venet0:2 to ping from the secondary interface inside host ? ping -I sec.ond.ary.ip works and pings from proper secondary IP address instead of the default main host IP address in case of using the secondary interface name. It is for all vpses..Just checking whether there is anything I can do to fix it.
