Hello,

I see unusual violation of my locked pages user_beancounter limit.
http://wiki.openvz.org/Lockedpages#lockedpages
I don't understand, what kind of process might use it, because I never saw that on the internet. Most of the lockedpages values I saw on the net were 0.
What kind of processes are using locked pages, and how to get rid of them?
I'm running debian etch.
Process list:
portmap syslogd klogd mysqld mysqld_safe inetd logger qmgr sshd famd atd cron apache atop munin-node sshd bash su pickup

Is there a similar program like lsof for numfiles, to list the processes using lockedpages?

Thank you in advance

floogy

didn't help at all. Can someone give me a hint how to get more information about the processes, that uses lockedpages, and how to unlock them, how to solve this issue?

The count of locked pages is yet increased to 251.

My Processlist looks now like this:
system: init syslogd klogd atd cron
database: mysqld_safe mysqld
webserver: apache
postfix: logger master qmgr pickup
shell: sshd su bash sh
monitoring: atop munin-node munin-cron munin-graph

IMHO apache can be compiled to use locked pages.
Btw. You can kill processes and look at /proc/user_beancounters -- and by this way You will be able to understan who uses locked pages.

most simplest way to resolve this issue -- just increase loackedpages limits. As far as I understand You are VPS owner -- in this case you should request HW node admin to increase such limits.

thank you,
