Is there any way to support openSUSE 10.2 as a guest OS ?

that is: build a metadata template for it ?

Is there a guide on how-to build a metadata template ?

I can install openSUSE as a guest, but it doesn't work.

SSH fails (because of lack of /dev/random), network fails too.

What must I do to make it work ?

Hello.

well, unfortunately, we have no a metadata template for openSUSE yet and the creation procedure is not automated - it should be done manually. At the same time you can build a precreated template cache - this is much more simple task than metadata creation.

it's known issue: udev in OpenSuse10.2 do not created mem-based device files (i.e. random and urandom) because do not find according information in sysfs inside VE.

To work-around this issue you can create random and urandom device files in /lib/udev/devices directory, then they will be created on any VE boot.
