Hi,

I´m running 2 openvz boxes. One is i386, the other amd64.
Hardware is the same (amd64/2gb), only the installed architecture differs.

On the amd64 lowmem is 802mb, but the i386 only has 348mb?
The wiki says lowmem=832 or less if memory size is lower than that.
I found nowhere another restriction?

Anyone has an idea?

LowMem LowMem RAM MemSwap MemSwap Alloc Alloc Alloc
i386: 348.00 348.00 1990.00 3943.00 3943.00 3943.00 3943.00 3943.00
amd64: 802.00 802.00 2006.00 3920.00 3920.00 3920.00 3920.00 3920.00

meminfo on i386:
LowTotal: 894312 kB

meminfo on amd64:
LowTotal: 2055048 kB

Tnx Matt

I found it by myself.

vzmemcheck always multiplies lowtotal*0.4

Also if the output shows the values in MB.
