Before compiling open vz to make a disk prtiton by using fdisk or cfdisk.Then edit the file /etc/fstab.
(eg: /dev/sda/ /vz ext3 defaults,noatime 1 2

Then mount it in /vz.
# mount -a (This will mount all partitions)

Then during the compilation time make sure to enable quota support
then complete the rest of steps.
