No i wasn't running any locking daemon, simply because the user space
nfs server doesn't support it.

Actually my issue has been resolved, the wiki sais that I need kernel
028test006 or higher (and I have a somewhat older kernel).

I suggest you try what the wiki says: http://wiki.openvz.org/NFS
