I have recently been in the process of installing OpenVZ onto a dedicated remote server.

After a few attempts, here is what I have learned.

First, don't try it with FC 4, which based on your error I believe that is what you are still running.

Follow these commands, after verifing they are correct for your situation assuming FC 4.

http://www.brandonhutchinson.com/Upgrading_Red_Hat_Linux_wit h_yum.html

rpm -Uvh http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/5/i3 86/os/Fedora/RPMS/fedora-release-5-5.noarch.rpm

yum clean all
// This will resolve the errors you are getting, in my experience, because it takes out the references to FC4 in the repos

yum -y upgrade

Now you are ready with a CLEAN FC5 kernel ready for the install. Do not use the FC5 because it is already out of date as of my testing.
