Thanks for the tip.

The 2G-memory system was pre-configured with a 512M swap partion, but not set up in /etc/fstab, I just asked the technical support if they did it on purpose.

Is there a clean way to get a warning when the memory overflows to swap? I can cron+grep but I'm not sure it would be reliable...
