No worries. I'm still learning too.

You do not really require to uninstall the kernel.

Just download the new development kernel RPM, rpm-ivh ovzkernel.rpm.

Edit /etc/grub/grub.conf and change the default=0 to reflect the new kernel. (Considering 0 is the first kernel in the config file)
