Yes, it seems openvz will soon be alive on 2.6.32 kernels. Furthermore, there are some indications that RHEL 6 will also use a 2.6.32 kernel.

This isn't official though. I have seen bugs and other similar posts indicating that RHEL 6 will either use 2.6.31 or 2.6.32, but the latter is a more recent information.

I have a hunch that this is what really prompted the openvz team to make this move.
