I have supermicro blade system. I am trying to install openvz on CentOS 5.2 / 5.1. Both of them failed when loading the SCSI driver from initrd. The SCSI Controller is megasr:

# lspci
LSI Logic / Symbios Logic MegaRAID SAS 8208ELP/8208ELP

From lsi.com, there is an RHEL 5 driver. But in binary form.
http://www.lsi.com/DistributionSystem/AssetDocument/support/ downloads/megaraid/sas/software_drivers/linux/11.02_RedHat5. zip

With original kernel shipped with both CentOS 5.1 and 5.2, the SCSI controller work fine. but when i install ovzkernel and than recreate the initrd files, it can't boot. the error is (see attachment):

Loading megasr.ko module
megasr: disagrees about version of symbol struct_module
insmod: error inserting '/lib/megasr.ko': -1 Invalid module format

I've searched this forum and found similar problem: http://forum.openvz.org/index.php?t=msg&goto=32240&

But the RH5 shim driver is not available anymore from LSI.com. Can anyone help me ?

I've tried compile ovzkernel (rhel5 based) from source too, but with no luck Sad

any help is very very apreciated

thank you
