Проблема в "10.0.5.0/24 dev venet0 scope host", а точнее "scope host". Из "man ip"

host - the address is valid only inside this host.

Поставьте "scope link".
Вам не нужно прописывать routing внутри VPS, достаточно иметь default маршрут на venet0 интерфес.
