Hi,
I saw the new openvz kernel in hardy today, and I thought "great!", finally an official kernel that fixes things.

Unfortunately it is broken in two ways:
1. The vz script either fails to start or does not load the required vz kernel modules.
2. The cp problem still exists:

cp: skipping file `/etc/network/interfaces', as it was replaced while being copied

linux-image-2.6.24-17-openvz
2.6.24-17-openvz

edit: moved to http://bugzilla.openvz.org/show_bug.cgi?id=901
