zu 1)
der OpenVZ patch der hier verwendet wird ist zu alt, basiert noch auf dem 028test018 vom 2007-03-02,
ich würde dir anraten den neuen stabilen Patch zu verwenden, für Debian findest Du den 028stab053.5
im Repository unter http://download.openvz.org/debian-systs/

zu 2)
wurde zuvor der Container (=VE) mit checkpointing gesichert ?
