Hi,

I've got a problem with vzdump - it doesn't work. Please look at this.

root@vps:~# vzdump --compress --dumpdir /vz/dump --snapshot 1
ERROR: strange VPS ID '1'

usage: /usr/bin/vzdump OPTIONS [--all | VPSID]

--exclude VPSID exclude VPSID (assumes --all)
--exclude-path REGEX exclude certain files/directories
--compress compress dump file (gzip)
--dumpdir DIR store resulting files in DIR
--xdelta create differential backup using xdelta
--mailto EMAIL send notification mail to EMAIL.
--stop stop/start VPS if running
--suspend suspend/resume VPS when running
--snapshot use LVM snapshot when running
--restore FILENAME restore FILENAME

VEID 1 was created correctly several days ago and now is online.

Server is based on Ubuntu Gutsy Gibbon GNU/Linux: Linux v02 2.6.18-fza-028stab051.1-amd64 #1 SMP Fri Dec 7 15:14:08 UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux.

Does anyone know how to backup VPS correctly without this error?

Thanks.

Yours sincerely, Martin Carbol
