Так и не удалось забилдить это (ovzkernel-2.6.8-022stab075.1.src.rpm) ядро под x86_64.
Очень похоже на использование 32битного кода не зависимо от target. Но моего опыта и знаний хватает только на ИМХО.

+ make ARCH=x86_64 -s -j4 bzImage
SYMLINK include/asm -> include/asm-x86_64
SPLIT include/linux/autoconf.h -> include/config/*
CHK include/asm-x86_64/offset.h
UPD include/asm-x86_64/offset.h
CHK include/linux/compile.h
UPD include/linux/compile.h
