Hello vaverin,

thanks for your answer, here are my modprobe.conf file.

------------------ modprobe.conf ------------------
alias bond0 bonding
alias bond1 bonding
alias bond2 bonding
alias eth0 e1000
alias eth1 e1000
alias eth2 e1000
alias eth3 e1000
alias eth4 e1000
alias eth5 e100
alias scsi_hostadapter 3w-xxxx
alias usb-controller ohci-hcd
options bonding max_bonds=3 miimon=100
------------------ modprobe.conf ------------------

I have 2 Controllers:
- 3-ware 8500 (s-ata)
- it8212 (p-ata)

At the dmesg-files you can see that both kernels find the controller, but only the FC4 kernel identify as an IT8212 and at the OpenVZ Kernel as an SvrWks (or else like that)!

Informations about the IT8212 at the openvz kernel "/lib/modules/2.6.15-025stab014.1/build/drivers/ide/Kconfig"
--------------------------- Kconfig ---------------------------
config BLK_DEV_IT821X
tristate "IT821X IDE support"
help
This driver adds support for the ITE 8211 IDE controller and the
IT 8212 IDE RAID controller in both RAID and pass-through mode.
--------------------------- Kconfig ---------------------------

Should i compile a new open-vz kernel? How?

thanks
stefan
