Hi Eugenio,

that's not possible, a lv(m)-snapshots is exact frozen copy of logical volume (lv) in a volume group (vg) at "logical volume management" (lvm), useing the the snapshot option of vzdump, the private dir of VE must be installed on a active logical volume (lv).
