Hello, this fix is already in 2.6.8-022stab078.14 kernel, so your bug is not related to this fix.

However there are some things fixed in 2.6.9 OpenVZ, that are not fixed in 2.6.8 OpenVZ. So, please, upgrade till recent 2.6.9 kernel and if this situation will arise again - fill the bug.
