Well I installed the Etch AMD64 version from a daily netinst ROM and also a pre-built AMD64 OpenVZ kernel. A few things I noticed:

I can now create and run VPSes created from an AMD64 bit template.

The VZCpucheck application showed a decrease in "CPU power" from then I was running the ordinary Etch but with the kernel built for a flat memory space.

The OpenVZ tools were installed from systs.org and may be 32 bit.

Does anyonw know if the result from vzcpucheck is menaingful in comparrison to the same hardware with a 32bit etch?

Also, are there any benifits to running with a 64bit OS?

Thanks...
