I just installed the 2.6.9-023, x86_64 kernel on centos 4.4, via yum and it spewed out a few errors related to some modules;
WARNING: No module sata_sil found for kernel 2.6.9-023stab037.3-smp, continuing anyway
WARNING: No module sym53c8xx found for kernel 2.6.9-023stab037.3-smp, continuing anyway
WARNING: No module sata_nv found for kernel 2.6.9-023stab037.3-smp, continuing anyway
WARNING: No module raid0 found for kernel 2.6.9-023stab037.3-smp, continuing anyway
WARNING: No module raid1 found for kernel 2.6.9-023stab037.3-smp, continuing anyway
Installed: ovzkernel-smp.x86_64 0:2.6.9-023stab037.3
Complete!
--------------------
This system has 4 hard drives hanging of the nvidia sata controller. Some of these drives configured as raid0 and raid1 and lvm.
The sata_sil module is no longer used by this server so I've removed it with rmmod and removed it from.
I dont want to reboot this server now to find out if the system can still se my 'sata_nv' disks as it is at a remote site.
I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the sata_nv and other modules are compiled into this openvz kernel? I'm hoping it does as the kernel seems quite a bit larger than stock centos/redhats, eg almost 50% larger.
Cheers.
