Hi
while running iptables on Debian:

iptables v1.2.11: can't initialize iptables table `filter': Module is wrong version
Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded.

?

Ronny

lsmod?

You can try to get iptables http://www.netfilter.org/, and recompile it...

I assume you ran iptables inside VPS to get this message. In this case, most probably you miss some iptables modules inside VPS. Could happen when you mess with vzctl wrongly thinking that vzctl set VPSID --iptables parameter just adds additional iptables modules to VPS config. In reality - it just adds the specified module and removes others from config - use with caution Smile

If you can't find what are the required modules for your iptables rule: post the rule.

Aistis
