As far as I remember vzsplit calculated discspace and discinodes values based on the size of /vz partition. and rules are very simple: reserve some place for the templates and the rest divide to number of VPS-es.
I would note that you can set any resonable values and you can change it in any time, even on started VPS.
Rules for other parameters are more difficult, they depend on the total memory size, swap size, size of normal zone and probably some other parameters. more detailed the rules are described in the SLMGuide.
I believe your values are correct and you may check your config file via vzcfgvalidate utility.
