Hi All:

I was wondering if the following is possible:

Given 2 or more VPS's on the same host, is it possible to have the VPS's share the same IP address? Note, only one VPS would be running at any time.

I would like to run this way, since each of the separate VPS's would be running different versions of software, and I only need to test one version of a VPS at a time.

Obviously, running 2 VPS's with the same IP address, would not be a good thing.

When trying this now (with kernel = 2.6.9-023stab032.1-smp), I am receiving strange error messages in the vps's messages file (looks like it is failing to set up the network, and another set of error messages from sshd complaining about fatal: Privilege separation user sshd does not exist), but I am not sure if these are the same problem or a different effect.

Note, when I set up the VPS's with different IP address, everything works fine.

Thanks for you help and time,

Paul Jochum
