I'm working on a project for school. I evaluated a demo license for virtuozzo before, and I got very interested!
I also tested OpenVZ and I am very happy with what it can do.
What I would like to know is, if there's a possibility to intergrate Plesk into OpenVZ? Do the license keys work? Are there disadvantages using it in OpenVZ?
I can't wait to test out some more.
Thank you in advance for you fast reply.

Hi
Yes it works and I've tested it with both Debian and Centos OpenVZ
templates. However it depends how many Plesk VE's you want to operate.
If it is more than a few it may well pay you get a commercial Virtuozzo licence and then benefit from Plesk for Virtuozzo licence discounts. Also working with Plesk's Virtuozzo templates
has technical advantages as there is only one copy on disc and in ram so you can run a larger number of Plesk VE's on a given hardware node.
When people have had problems installing Plesk (or cPanel) in an OpenVZ environment it usually by not having enough resources within the VE (keep an eye on /proc/user_beancounters).
