Hi there,

we have installed two servers, both with bonding mode 1 (Active Backup). 'Cause we've installed them via KickStart-Script they should be equal, and comparing the configuration it seems so.
On first server bonding doesn't work. When first nic is disconnected bond0 is down, nothing works and you get a "TX hung" message. The device won't work again until you've stop it with "ifdown" and restarted via "ifup".
On 2nd server there is no problem. Whether eth0 nor eth1 is disconnected the network connection is still alive.

Here the os-version:
Linux version 2.6.8-022stab078.21-enterprise (root@kern268.build.sw.ru) (gcc version 3.3.3 20040412 (Red Hat Linux 3.3.3-7))
--> a.k.a. Centos 4.3

Hint:
We've already tested the latest stable version, but it doesn't solve the problem.

Anyone an idea or solution?

Thx TSchilli
