accessing USB devices from a VE [message #7830]

hello,

i am trying to install an application in a VE (i.e. did a vzctl enter) that requires the presence of a hardware dongle. this is a USB device that the installer looks for before continuing. it also must be there each time the app starts up. i can find the device in /proc/bus/usb/devices from the host.

How do I grant access to a USB device?
