We have expirienced problem with creating VPS on our server with folowing configuration:

Host: Linux 2.6.16-026test018.1 i686 (Development OpenVZ Kernel)
VPS: Linux 2.6.17-1.2142_FC4smp

# vzctl create 533

Creating VPS private area: /vz/private/533
vzquota : (error) Quota on syscall for 533: File exists
vzquota on failed [3]
vzquota : (error) Quota is not running for id 533
Performing postcreate actions
VPS private area was created

Any ideas?

Find all you need in your mind, if you can take the time...

Is /vz distinguished filesystem or it's just a directory in /?
Do you use usual not openVZ quota on /vz (/) filesystem?

/vz is just a directory. Embarassed

Yes, there was a quota for /, we disabled it, but there is another error:
# vzctl start 532
Starting VPS ...
VPS is mounted
Setting CPU units: 1000
vzquota : (warning) block_hard_limit [0] < block_current_usage [4]
VPS start in progress...

VPS started ok, but I'm not sure that this error message is harmless...

Find all you need in your mind, if you can take the time...
