I'm having trouble getting fuse to work in 2.6.16. Is it still supported? The configs for the kernels look like it is turned off.

Hello,

You're right FUSE is disabled in configs for rpm-based kernels.
Hence, to use FUSE you should recompile kernel with this option turned on.
