Hey there,
just playing around a bit with OpenVZ 7 (latest) ... and was wondering if it's possible to run Virtuozzo 7 created Containers on OpenVZ 7?

When I tried it with a Test CT i got this Error:

[root@openvz7 private]# vzctl start 396
Starting Container ...
Container is mounted
Os release: 3.10.0-693.17.1.vz7.43.10
Failed to mount devtmpfs: No such file or directory
Container is unmounted
Failed to start the Container

thx, bye from Austria

In general Vz7 and OpenVz7 uses the same packages, so we expect containers created on Vz7 should work correctly on OpenVz7.
And contrary: containers created on openVz7 should work well on Vz7.

If you still observe some troubles -- please submit bug into https://bugs.openvz.org

Thank you,

@vaverin - in that Case - any ideas what could cause the "Failed to mount devtmpfs: No such file or directory" Error when I try to start a Virtuozzo 7 Container on the OpenVZ Root Node?
Will also submit a Ticket tomorrow when I'm back in the Office.

Dear Andreas,
I'm not qualified in this area unfortunately.
May be something was wrong during its migration, so I think it makes sense to describe the migration procedure in more details.
Hope it helps developers to clarify the reason of this problem.
