Not that I know of... but then again there are a number of people that think ZFS is the filesystem above all others who have adopted it... and snapshots for containers... giving you mostly the same thing you want from union filesystems. I haven't used ZFS nor ZFS for OpenVZ container storage... so don't ask me.
