Hello everyone,

I am new to OpenVZ and I was wondering if there is a way to monitor the boot process messages ?

I am having some issues with init not starting some script. I think that is is a reason for /dev/pts not being mounted although I put an entry in the /etc/fstab, and networking not being enabled. When the system boots only the essential processes are started - init, bash, ant that is it.

When I try to mount the /dev/pts by hand, it works, and when I try to start the networking it also works. I think it is something related to init scripts, and the boot process.

I wanted to ask you for an advice on how to troubleshoot this, and if there is a way to connect to a VE to monitor the boot process.

Thanks in advance,
Nikola
