vzctl exec cron not working [message #51408]

Hello,
I am trying to run below command via host node crontab but its not working in crontab. while its working perfectly, running manually via shell.

vzctl exec2 1 "cd /root/mysqlbackup && mysqldump -u username -h mydbhost -ppassword dbname | gzip -9 > mysql_`date +%Y%m%d_%H%M%S`.sql.gz" >/dev/null 2>&1

please suggest me if I am doing something wrong or if their is some other method to do this automatic backup but from host node cronjob.
