How can i fix "Unable to fork: Cannot allocate memory" on a VPS? I cant SSH into it, only see this from VPS host server. But websites loading ok on that VPS..? How to debug the cause & fix please?

Beancounters software returns:
held.....4095.62 mb
maxheld..4201.57 mb
barrier..4096.00 mb
limit....4096.00 mb
failcnt..29850479

But i dont want to increase memory for this VPS, at same time i dont want VPS to return "Unable to fork: Cannot allocate memory".. what to do?

Why do you make 2 threads about same topic?

It means that your VPS has no ressources.

what to do?
Check which process takes the RAM and optimize this. Probably it is apache - optimize the webserver or change to lighttpd/nginx/litespeed/whatever.

Also make cat /proc/user_beancounters and paste result of ve where this error is. Look in this result at failcnt column.

I cant SSH into it
try vzctl exec veid free -m; ps aux & poste here.
