Hi:

I have got Centos 5.10 + openvz installed in a remote machine (without physical access). I have two public IPv4 IPs assigned to the machine, but has a single nic. Therefore I created an alias eth0.1.

Since I have no physical access to the server, I cannot assign both public IPs to the virtual machines by assigning a private IP to the host machine.

I am confused about a bridge for an alias eth0.1 and then make the virtual machines to use one of the two public IPs?

I read a few documents (see below) which mentions it works with a separate NIC, but not with an alias! Any hints? Thanks and happy new year!
