Hello,
1- Is it possible to install a ovz 64bit kernel AND run a vps at 32bit? That doesnt seem to make sense, however I couldnt figure that out from the docs...
also if the 64bit OS is installed, that doesnt mean necessarly that I wont be able to run packages that only have 32bit versions of it, does it?
2- OpenVZ seems really close and equivalent of FreeVPS, what would be the main differences?
3- Finally I need to decide by tonight between a Dual Xeon 2.8Ghz and a Dual AMD Opteron 242, and Ive scavanged google thruoutly, and couldnt make up my mind.... for VPS and apache/php/mysql/java usage, what would be my best performace/choice... please, anyone that has experience with dedicated servers, advice
(Sorry for being a bit offtopic.. discussions seems a bit dead)
Thank you,
Roger

My reason for doing this is compiling 32 bits and 64 bits Debian packages. So it is indeed possible.

Pleas explain. I build several Debian (both 32 as 64 bits) templates under a 64 bits kernel. No problems. Or haven't I run into them yet
