Hi everyone,

I am using Proxmox and have many OpenVZ containers of CentOS in it.

I have installed a Sangoma UT50 VoiceTimer timing device on mothernode and Dahdi from Digium. It is running fine and timing accuracy is 99.9%+. Now, how do I allow the OpenVZ container to use the same timing device?

Do I need to install Dahdi and OpenVZ drivers on container too?
Or is there just an allowing process or symlink process or make the drivers available to OpenVZ?

Does your timing device adjust the kernel time on the hostnode? If so, Job Done, because it's the same kernel that appears in your container.

I know nothing about the timing device: but if it appears as a device file /dev/WHATEVER, you can make that available inside the container. See the bit about devnodes in "man vzctl". Here's an example:
