On a Centos6 machine, I have this error (at least) since Friday on issuing "yum update".

Downloading the rpm then doing:

#yum localupdate ploop-lib-1.6-1.x86_64.rpm
#yum update

Appears to work.

Sounds like a mirror out of sync. Did yum always connect to the same mirror?

No, it ran through a large mirror list.

Of course, yum would switch to the next mirror after experiencing an error... So it can't be just a single mirror at fault. Sorry, don't know what I was thinking.

Googling this it appears that this error has occurred on several occasions in the past and then been fixed following bug reports or forum postings.

So, do we need a bug report for this?
