We have a host running 64bit kernel, the 32bit guest has a memory limitation of about 3gb.

We need to get around this and allocate more memory to the guest.

Re-installing the guest on a 64bit container is not the preferred method due to the work involved.

So I guess my question is this, if I re-install the kernel on the host to 32bit with PAE enabled. Will the guest be able to see more than 3GB RAM when I deploy it?

I have a backup of the guest taken from a different setup using vzdump!

Or, has anyone any better suggests to overcome this memory limitation.
