I have OpenVZ installed with apt-get install...
apt installs the 3.0.24 version for vzctl.
How can I upgrade to version 3.3?
I've seen there are releases for Binaries, but no word on installing them.
Just extract to the / ??

wiki.openvz.org/Download/vzctl/3.3

Thanks for help!

On a test environment i have done this:

- Downloaded the vzctl-4.0 & vzctl-core-4.0 rpm and converted with alien to deb
- Created a backup of /etc/vz/conf
- Installed the two newly created debs with "dpkg -i"
- Installed the missing libcgroup: aptitude install libcgroup1

Seems to work, but needs more testing.

Someone has done something similar? Can this recommended?

Hi there

I'm running on 2 production servers the setup you posted (except that I use all rpm packages and not only vzctl) and it seems to work great so far.
