I'm too can't update my centos 5.8 installation due to conflict:

Processing Conflict: ploop-lib conflicts vzkernel < 2.6.32-042stab061.1

This problem happened more than one week ago and still present.

Full yum output:

# yum update

You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: package-cleanup --problems
package-cleanup --dupes
rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
The program package-cleanup is found in the yum-utils package.
