There seems to be a bug for the vzctl restore function when trying to restore on a different physical server. This worked on previous versions fine. From testing, this bug affects vzmigrate as well as using the standard vzctl chkpnt/restore functions.
Running CentOS 6.3, latest stable 2.6.32-042stab059.7
Description:
vzctl restore states it was successful but the container is shut down upon resume.
How to reproduce:
Run the standard live migration using chkpnt, rsync, and restore.
Details on problem:
Restore works on current server just fine. You can suspend and resume. However, when trying to resume on a remote server, the command outputs success but silently fails.
vzctl restore <CTID> --undump works but CTID is still suspended
vzctl restore <CTID> --resume to unsuspend outputs success but silently fails and stops the container.
