Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to use openvz with a version of kernel >=2.6.35 ?

I ask that because the package "ipset" and the latest coretemp module (which permits to get the core i7 temperture) don't work with 2.6.32.

Regards,

Guillaume.

Right now the latest openvz kernel is based on the rhel6 kernel, which is based on 2.6.32. However, red hat likes to backport new features from newer kernels back into their kernels, so the rhel6 kernel contains many new features not found in 2.6.32. many features are missing though (especially in the area of hardware support).

currently, based on the last blog post (openvz dot livejournal dot com slash 42414.html), they're currently rebasing openvz on kernel 3.5. but until that's done, there isn't any openvz kernel based on kernels newer than 2.6.32 (not that I know of).
