I realize this is a common complaint with SSH being set to time out. And I also realize there multiple failure points Sad But I was hoping that being new to OpenVZ it's a common problem. I searched and didn't find anything similar. My SSH sessions LOCK and I have to close the window and reconnect. I do not get prompted or disconnected. The session just locks up and I have to close the window. If I leave top running this does not happen. My ClientAliveInterval is set to 0. This is Mac iTerm connecting to a CentOS6.3, with CentOS 6.3 host.

--Ideas?

When I started having problems similar to this it was related to the router being changed on my end. Seems to depend on the router. Nothing I did with the router settings changed that unless I created a permanent port forward.

The other solution which I now use and seems to work for all routers is sending null keep alive SSH packets. That is what WinSCP calls it. Maybe iTerm has something similar.
