Is there anyway to obtain the serial number of the physical hard disks from inside a container, but without giving full access to the physical device?

Normally I would run udisks on a host system. Something like hdparm will work in a container, but only if I use devnodes to pass through the physical device.

Any assistance greatly appreciated.
