Ok so I get most of it but,

Lets say we set:

physpages.limit = 512mb
swappages.limit = 1024mb

So physpages is the actual limit of the actual ram you have been allocated. If you go above that then you start using swappages element which is your Vswap area?

So if Vswap is not actually doing any real swapping what is it doing? Is it using memory that the node is not currently using?

If the above is correct why start to artificially slow the container? Why not just go into actual swapping?
