I have installed Fedora 16 and followed the instructions on the Wiki. I installed the templates in /vz/template/cache ,
see below:
[root@openvz rc.d]# cd /vz/template/cache
[root@openvz cache]# ls
centos-6-x86.tar.gz scientific-6-x86.tar.gz
debian-6.0-x86.tar.gz suse-11.4-x86.tar.gz
[root@openvz cache]# uname -a
Linux openvz 3.1.0-7.fc16.i686 #1 SMP Tue Nov 1 21:00:16 UTC 2011 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
[root@openvz cache]# uname -r
3.1.0-7.fc16.i686
[root@openvz cache]# !111
vzctl create 101 --ostemplate centos-6-x86
Unable to open /dev/vzctl: No such file or directory
Please check that vzdev kernel module is loaded and you have sufficient permissions to access the file.
[root@openvz cache]# ls -al cen*
-rwxrwxr-x 1 victor victor 200985021 Mar 15 00:52 centos-6-x86.tar.gz
[root@openvz cache]#
I have searched everywhere and was not successfull.
If I do a fdisk -l there is no /dev/vzctrl

I have Fedora 16 installed on /dev/sda5 and do get the
openvz barefoot symbol when I log in.
vzlist -a gives:
vzlist -a
Unable to open /proc/vz/veinfo: No such file or directory
Unable to open /proc/user_beancounters: No such file or directory
[root@openvz cache]#
There is no /proc/vz directory:
cd /proc/vz
bash: cd: /proc/vz: No such file or directory
[root@openvz cache]# ls -al proc/v*
ls: cannot access proc/v*: No such file or directory
[root@openvz cache]#
I have been stuck for two days on this.
Please help and thank you!
