Time to Time application crash! if the application is well done it
generate a core dump within a specific directory (/var/crash).
This help a lot to investigate about the trouble (traces analyze, understand, duplicate, fix).

VPS application core dump generation is working on 2.6.18+++ but NOT working on 2.6.32++++.

When a VPS standard application is core dumping, you have
"Core dump to |/usr/libexec/abrt-hook-ccpp /var/spool/abrt.... ........ pipe failed"
WITHIN HOST dmesg queue and core dump file is not generated within VPS (not HOST).

Bug (2090) is reporting this and patch is available since Nov 2011.
I can't figure out why this bug fix was classified as an "improvement".

I find "core-dump generation" missing as very annoying (to fix and trace production application).

Could somebody suggest a way to get this trouble by-passed, in the waiting of kernel to be fixed?
Am I the only one to consider core-dump file critical to do real software maintenance?
