You can move the directories /vz/private/??? and /vz/root/??? for half the containers to the new disk and then link them back to /vz/private/???. Or you can edit the /etc/vz/conf/???.conf file and see these lines:


VE_ROOT="/vz/root/$VEID"
VE_PRIVATE="/vz/private/$VEID"

Just do the move and change those lines as needed. Just don't do it while the container is running.
